This hand made necklace has a central section of hammered copper, tightly wrapped with my own buds of molten rosy copper. It sits within a length of cable chain and is fastened with my own hook and loop clasp.
The central section of the necklace is a curved and hammered length of heavy copper wire, tightly wrapped with 14 buds of rosy copper. The budded section measures 75mm (3") around its curve and 65mm (>2½") straight across and is 9mm (0.35") wide. It has been antiqued to highlight the texture of the wrapping. All of the cut ends at the back of the necklace have been filed and polished smooth for comfort and to prevent snagging.
The necklace overall is currently 500mm (19½") - but I have made it deliberately long so that it can be adjusted to fit the buyer, I envisage it being worn at collarbone length - more like 430mm (17") or 450mm (18") in length. Please ensure that you give me your required length when ordering, if you'd like it shortening to fit.
Please note that this necklace is not currently available from stock, but would be made to order for you, so please allow me a few additional days to custom make one especially for you. Every piece is entirely hand crafted and metal, when melting, does tend to please itself, so each necklace will have slightly different charateristics and natural variation.
