Antiqued copper and faux amber collarbone length necklace featuring a central beaded section of gorgeous amber coloured beads in graduating sizes finishing with a necklace of copper figaro chain.
The central beaded section of the necklace features 9 of the gorgeous faux amber beads in 3 graduating sizes, each separated by a cluster of intertwined copper rings. The rings are assembled in a chain maille structure known as a mobius ring, where each ring goes through each of the others. When mounted between beads in this manner, it gives rise to an informal and chunky spiral of copper between the beads. The ring separators are also graduated in size to give a nice gentle curve towards the solid copper figaro chain that completes the necklace, which closes with my own hook and loop clasp. The necklace is hand crafted and has been antiqued to bring out the tones of well loved aged copper.
The beads are a faux amber, made from something like resin, which has a very authentic colour and similar feel to quality Baltic amber. The beads contain plaques that catch the light emulating patches of iridescence within the beads and the light through them glows beautifully. Just like real amber, the faux beads are very light, making the necklace soft against the skin of the throat in wear.
The rigid curved central beaded section of the necklace is 115mm (4½") wide and the beads graduate from the largest central bead at 12mm (½") to the smallest at 8mm (0.3") in diameter. The necklace is currently around 520mm (20½") in overal length, but will be finished to your required size upon ordering, so please do let me have your required necklace length in the comment box during checkout. I would suggest that the necklace be worn around the collarbone (approx 17-18"), but if you would like something different, please do let me know and I can change the chain for longer pieces.
