Antiqued copper necklace featuring a teardrop shaped pendant

A hand made teardrop shaped copper pendant, which has been wire wrapped to attach a single large bead of blue pearl larvikite and will hang from an integral spiralled bail.

This entirely hand crafted pendant has been made from one piece of heavy gauge copper wire, cold forged into a teardrop shape and coiled at the top to create a feature bail to hang from the chain. The teardrop has been wire wrapped with a finer gauge of copper to hold a single bead of blue pearl larvikite, which flashes when catching the light, with iridescent blues.

The teardrop has been hammered and shaped and extensively polished. All of the cut wire ends have been filed smooth to prevent snagging and the pendant has been antiqued to bring out the texture of the wraps and coils.

The pendant drops 36mm (1.4") from the chain and is 20mm (¾") at its widest. The internal diameter of the coiled bail is a generous 6mm (¼") allowing it to be worn on different chains or thongs.

The pendant comes with an antiqued copper chain which closes with my own hand crafted hook and loop clasp.  The chain will be made for you to order when you advise me of the finished length that you'd like it, up to 550mm (22") - if you'd like longer than 22", please add the 'Copper chain - extra length supplement' as in the Related Products below to your basket too - and don't forget to tell me what finished length that you'd like.
