Antiqued copper and unakite pendant on chain - oops price!

This round antiqued copper pendant is entirely hand made and features a central hammered ring generously wrapped with Unakite beads on rosy copper buds.

This pendant started life as a prototype, in that I had a design in mind and wanted to try out the methodology I'd sketched before starting work on the final design. I had the idea to wrap the outside of a copper shape with small beads, but using generously sized ball ended headpins instead of plain wire.

But having wrapped most of the ring and finding that the technique worked rather better than I'd hoped, I went on to finish it and add a bail - I quite liked the result, so antiqued and polished it into a finished piece. But it's also true to say, that because I was just trying out an idea, I didn't pay enough attention to the spacing and it's ended up a little unevenly wrapped by the standards I would normally impose on myself. So the slight lapse in my workmanship is reflected in the price.

The pendant, generously wrapped with lovely earthy green and terracotta unakite beads, has been antiqued to highlight the detail and texture of the wrapping and the ball ended pins have been left with a rosy copper glow. The pendant drops 42mm (1.6") overall from the chain and is the same size in diameter. The internal diameter of the bail is 6mm (¼") which will allow it to be worn on other chains and ribbons.

The pendant comes with an antiqued copper chain which closes with my own hand crafted hook and loop clasp.  The chain will be made for you to order when you advise me of the finished length that you'd like it, up to 550mm (22") - if you'd like longer than 22", please add the 'Copper chain - extra length supplement' as in the Related Products below to your basket too - and don't forget to tell me what finished length that you'd like.
