Hammered copper paddle necklace

A striking mixed metal necklace of hammered copper paddles and silver plated ridged cylinder beads. 

The main features of the necklace are the 9 graduating hand made cold-forged paddles of hammered copper.  They've been hammered for shape, then texture added for sparkle and the edges filed to smooth and shape them.  They've been turned over into a feature loop at the top to sit on the thong.  The copper has then been polished to a high degree of shine.  The copper can either be polished to maintain this colour, or allowed to age and darken.

The paddles and beads are hung from a black rubber thong, finished with entirely hand-formed copper cord ends and a hammered hook and loop closure.  

The necklace measures 425mm (16¾") and will sit high on the neck to accommodate the length of the main features.  The longest central copper paddle drops 64mm (2½") and the main central design is 65mm (2½") wide.
