Antiqued copper chain link earrings with chunky chalk turquoise beads and finished with raindrop buds of melted copper.
These earrings are entirely hand crafted from raw copper and the central feature is a large bead of chalk turquoise and the metal has been antiqued to co-ordinate with the brown tones of the matrix within the stones and to bring out the texture of the wire wrapping.
The beads are made from stablilised natural chalk turquoise, which I understand to be a composite bead from the natural chalks associated with turquoise mining, but pressed together within a resin base and dyed.
The loop at the bottom is festooned with fluidly moving molten copper buds, in a range I call copper raindrops.
Please note, the antiqued pair in the photographs has sold, but I can polish the oxidised pair above to that finish if you would prefer it. Please note which finish you would like in the comments box during checkout. The oxidised earrings shown hang 67mm (2.6") overall from the top of the earwires and each of the beads is 14mm (>½") in diameter.
