Darkly oxed Egyptian scroll and African turquoise earrings

Darkly oxidised copper Egyptian coil earrings featuring a dangle stack of three rondelles of African turquoise.

Each earring features two ascending size Egyptian scrolls, which are shaped and interlocked tight spirals of copper wire.  Beneath the coiled links dangles a wire wrapped stack of a stone called African turquoise, which is actually a Jasper stone that comes from Africa.  There are three roughly faceted rondelles in each stack, giving the earrings an elegant length.

The method and design of these scrolled links is said be an ancient one and a design that I often return to as they're so enjoyable to make and versatlie to use.

The earrings have been deeply oxidised to co-ordinate with the dark matrix of the pretty stones.  The earrings hang 55mm (2.2") overall from the top of the straight drop earwires and they hang around 16mm (0.6") at their widest.
