Antiqued copper raindrops earrings - now available in 4 colours

16 melted drops of copper twist and move on each of these antiqued copper fluid and delicate earrings.

I was watching (and trying to avoid) drips of rain from the roof of the house whilst outside oxidising some copper tendrils I'd added to a bail, with melted ends - and thought they looked like the drips. I had the idea to combine many melted copper ends to form a whole collection of drips.

The delicate copper balls are twisted and hang from copper rings for length and have been extensively tumble polished for shine and strength. The earrings hang 37mm (< 1½") overall from the top of the earwires. They are entirely hand crafted and have been antiqued to bring out the texture and give a warm, rich glow to the copper. They could be made in different lengths on request.

Co-ordinating copper raindrops necklace:    Please see the Related Products section below for the matching necklace and the same earrings in Sterling silver.

Now available in 4 alternative copper finishes:

The main pair shown in the photographs are antiqued copper, but I can also finish the copper in several alternative colours - as can be seen in the additional images.  Shown in the photographs with three earrings are, from left to right; rosy copper oxidised which has a lovely warm and mellow burgundy sheen, raw shiny copper which is bright and peachy, but will gradually darken over time and fully oxidised copper, which is tumbled to give it a glossy gunmetal sheen - and odd spots of copper will show through.

Please specify which of the four finishes shown that you would like when ordering.  The pair I currently have in stock is raw shiny copper, to give me the option to finish them to your required finish.  The rosy copper pair would need to be custom made for you, so please allow a little time for me to make a pair especially for you.
