An elegant antiqued copper long drop pendant featuring a large faceted aquamarine coloured quartz bead. The bead sits below a long tightly coiled copper neck, further spiralled with an open coil of heavier gauge wire, terminating atop the bead with a large spiral cap. It's a design technique I call 'coil on coil'.
The feature neck and bail of this pendant is made from a central core of tightly coiled finer copper wire, which has been over-spiralled with a heavier gauge of copper wire.
The large delicately marbled bead is a micro faceted semi precious quartz bead which I suspect might have been dyed. It has then been capped with a spiral of copper wire.
The pendant has been antiqued to enhance the texture of the spiralled wires of the coil on coil wire wrapping. The pendant hangs 46mm (1.8") overall from the antiqued solid copper belcher / rollo chain and the quartz bead is 14mm (0.6") in diameter.
Chain length:
The included solid copper belcher chain of the necklace fastens with my own hand crafted hook and loop clasp and will be supplied 18" (460mm) by default. But if you'd like a different length (up to 30" within this price), please let me know and I'll be happy to make it up to your required size.
Please note that as chains are made to order for each customer, they are polished to match the pendant, where the ones used in photographs are 'prop' chains that don't necessarily match as well, as they are used for more than one design.
