Antiqued copper leaf spiral and amethyst earrings

Each earring features a large glossy faceted grade A amethyst bead of a fabulous deep purple colour. They hang on over-size spiralled headpins with a large hammered leaf spiral head. The wire is double wrapped above the bead for a further detail of interest and the copper has been antiqued to accent the textures.
The earrings hang 42mm (1.6") overall from my own hand crafted straight drop earwires and the large faceted amethysts are 12mm (<½") in diameter.

This design could be made with many other stones you see on other pieces, where stock is available, the bead has a sufficiently large hole (which excludes pearls and some gemstones, which have tiny holes) and where the stone can be antiqued . Please ask if you'd like a variation.
