Gold, white and black copper kilt pin

An antiqued copper kilt pin style brooch decorated with a selection of glass beads on a gold, white and black theme.  The feature bead at the centre is a large hand made white glass bead, featuring internal swirls of metallic gold and black spot.  The black is further accented with some flat glass washers and seed beads.

The pin measures 48mm (1.9") overall in length and is 20mm (<¾") at its widest.

The point of the pin has been sharpened and smoothly polished by hand, but is rather thick and best suited to open weave fabrics such as knitwear and jackets - although this pin is of a finer gauge than others in the shop - which is determined by the size of the holes through the chosen beads. I carefully position the point of the pin within the latch so that the sharp point is protected from scratching you or snagging clothing in wear.

Copper is a soft material and the pin needs to be opened gently and eased through the fabric without undue force, to protect the shape, but with a little care in handling of this nature, it will give you a lifetime of enjoyment.
