Antiqued copper oval pendant with hand sculpted leaves and buds

Antiqued copper oval shaped pendant made from copper precious metal clay, featuring tiny hand sculpted leaves with shiny round buds.  I have hand sculpted the pendant from copper precious metal clay, each leaf hand cut and formed with my fingers - it has not been formed by pressing it into a mold.

What is copper clay / precious metal clay?

Copper clay is a clay like medium made from tiny particles of copper (other metals are available too), combined with an organic binder and made into a pliable clay or paste with water. After working with the clay-like medium to form the article, it is thoroughly dried to remove all of the water, the shape is then further refined and then fired at high temperature to both burn off the binders and to cause the copper particles to fuse together as solid metal. The pendant has been extensively hand polished and antiqued to bring out the textures and form of the leaves. The pendant represents very many hours of work, which is reflected in the price and is likely to be somewhat unique.

The pendant hangs 33mm (1.3") overall from the antiqued copper rollo/belcher chain and is 15.5mm (0.6") at its widest. The chain will be made to order for you, up to a length of 762mm (30"), so please specify your requirements during checkout.

Please note the size of the pendant, which is rather delicate, but is shown much larger than life size in the photographs.
