An entirely hand crafted antiqued copper bracelet featuring what is estimated to be one of the oldest chain patterns known - examples have been found over 3000 years old. The pattern is called loop-in-loop.

Each link/loop is formed from a soldered ring of copper which is shaped and formed and added to the chain one at a time - each one linking through the last. The matching hook and ring clasp is made similarly by forming the shapes from a soldered loop of wire, whilst attached to the chain.

Once fully assembled, the chain is cleaned, deburred, finished and polished, then tumbled for a smooth strong finish. Then the copper has been antiqued by oxidising and hand polishing to the desired tones. It has then been tumbled again to clean and buff the surfaces. This chain represents several hours of work and many processes.

The fit of this bracelet is 180mm (>7"). This is not a linear length, but the length of the inner diameter, as it sits in wear. This chain has an average width in wear of 7mm (>¼") and 23 links plus the clasp. It cannot be altered, but one could be made to order if you required something different. This is the chunkier and intentionally slightly more rustic version of one listed earlier and now sold.
