Scarlet red glass and silver earrings

These Sterling silver and glass earrings feature a pair of large and impressive glossy red glass beads.   They're described as cubes, but have lovely sensuous curvy contours and an asymmetric shape.  The shape is reminiscent of if you had a ball of soft dough and wanted to squish it into a cube by pressing your fingers on opposite sides.

Capped with shiny Greek silver washers and Sterling silver beads, on my own balled headpins and large classic earwires, they make a striking statement.  Greek silver beads are a ceramic base which has been fired with a pure silver glaze - it bonds with the fabric of the bead and is much more robust than plating.

They hang 42mm (1.6") overall and are 19mm (¾") at their widest.

Materials:  Sterling silver, Greek silver and glass.

Please note:  having made a new pair of these for stock, as I went to put them away, I noticed a chip off the glass on one of the main beads.  Rather than waste the silver already used to make them, I've polished the chip to be smooth and have reduced the price of this one pair accordingly. 

I no longer have any of these beads to re-make any more.
