Antiqued copper pendant and chain, featuring a gently contoured ivy leaf in solid copper, set with a sparkling Cubic Zirconia stone like a little raindrop that has settled on the leaf.
I have hand crafted the ivy leaf pendant in copper clay and it has been impressed with a realistic vein texture and contoured with gentle curves like a natural leaf. I've shaped and polished the edges into soft curves to be tactile to the touch.
I wanted to capture the sense of a raindrop settled on the leaf, so I've set it with a gorgeous sparkly faceted Cubic Zirconia gemstone. It's actually a very pale lavender colour, but against the copper looks pretty much clear, the colour isn't obvious. It's very sparkly, but it's difficult to capture that in still photographs when it's movement causing light to be reflected from the facets of the cut that creates the sparkle.
The leaf itself measures 28mm (1.1") in height and is 26mm (1") wide in wear. The Cubic Zirconia stone is 3mm in diameter.
Chain length:
The leaf hangs from the supplied solid copper belcher (rollo) chain from a discreet integral bail loop on the back of the leaf, which can be seen on one of the additional photographs. The chain fastens with my own hook and loop clasp and will be supplied 18" (460mm) in length by default, but if you'd like a different length (up to 30" within this price), please let me know and I'll make something else to order for you.
Please note that as chains are made to order for each customer, they are polished to match the pendant, where the ones used in photographs are 'prop' chains that don't necessarily match as well, as they are used for more than one design.
