Black and silver crackle polymer clay heart pendant

A hand crafted black and crackled silver polymer clay heart shaped pendant, with a silver plated bail and hanging on a silver plated cable chain.

The pendant has been been formed in several stages from polymer clay.  A very thin sheet of plain black clay was coated with very fine pure silver foil and then crackled by spreading it even thinner.  This very thin layer was veneered onto a plain black layer for the pendant.  It has been baked with a thick layer of glossy embossing powder to create a glass like layer over the pattern to seal it in.  The pendant has then been further varnished repeatedly with thin layers of acrylic gloss for protection.

The heart hangs from a genuine Aanraku silver plated bail (glued to the back with epoxy resin) and comes with a silver plated cable chain - which fastens with a silver plated lobster clasp and will be made to order for you up to 760mm (30") in length.  Please specify your preferred length during checkout.

The pendant drops 45mm (1¾") from the chain and is 38mm (1½") wide in wear.
